Here goes the second and last part, as promised. Thanks for sticking with us and our crazy antics. :)
With our tummies grumbling from lack of food and our feet leading us as if on autopilot, we took a jeepney ride to our last destination for the day, the Mall of Asia.
Now during this time, we were in a bit of a time crunch because we had to catch a glimpse of the famous view of the “Sunset in Manila Bay”. But first things first, we had to fill our tummies or else we’ll die of starvation long before the sun could even set...
So we walked and walked, looking for a place to ease our hunger. And with our stubborn heads intent on making this adventure a collection of as many firsts as possible, instead of opting for someplace we’ve already dined before, we decided to try something new. That’s how we ended up at a Greek restaurant called Manos Greek Taverna tucked on the side of the building. Since our brains were not working anymore and we had no idea on what to order, we let the waitress decide and she offered us their bestseller. Basically, it’s just a combo of spaghetti and pizza but in Greek flavour. When they served it in front of us, we couldn’t help but dig in. It’s a wonder though that when all our tummies were filled, we didn’t turn into ancient Greek goddesses wearing drapes as clothing. Seriously, that’s how Greek we felt at that time.

It's blue, blue, BLUE everywhere!
I wonder if it's Blue and Steve who owns this place. hhhmmm... |

...Meets the Big O
|
(Truthfully, it’s one of the few moments where I felt glad to take the advice of the server because everything tasted good and was so worth the wait. The feta cheese on the pizza totally did me in – Jhun)
When we’re all settled, we hurried on our way to the MOA eye (the local version of the London Eye, the Ferris Wheel) to catch the sunset there.
 |
there you are! |
And when we say hurry, we literally hurried! As in we ran the whole length of the Sunset Boulevard because we somehow found ourselves on the other end of it. :(
 |
oh so near! yet oh so far! |
So we ran and ran like maniacs, people looking over at us, possibly thinking that we were chasing a pickpocket, or worse, we’re the pickpockets. Haha! But at that moment, we never thought about how we looked, we just had to catch the sunset!
 |
had to take this picture because we're losing time. oh no! |
When we got there, we were all panting and gasping for air as we waited in line for our tickets. Grabbing our passes, we again ran through the maze-like, obstacle course that the people there call as the entrance. Time’s almost running out, the sun’s setting fast, and we’re still waiting for our car when at last, we made it!

people come and go... |

here goes our ride. oh yeah! |
 |
hooraah! now we're in :) |
 |
up, up and away! |
 |
aawww...au revoir! monsieur soleil ;) |
Settling on our seats facing each other, grinning like Cheshire cats, that’s when the hilarity of it all strikes us. Laughing out loud at our silliness, we played Parachute’s Kiss Me Slowly because the Ferris wheel reminded us of one of their album covers. Singing along to the song at the top of our lungs while taking lots and lots of pictures, it felt like we’re kids again. And nothing’s better than reliving something that brings you back to the simple joys of being a kid. We’re on top of the world!
Here are some of the "selfies" we took while enjoying the ride:
i could just stay here forever *^o^* - jhun

Next is the "spectacular-spectacular" view from the top:
this reminded us of the lines on the song Kiss Me slowly:
"well I'm not sure what this is gonna be, but with my eyes closed all I see is the skyline through the window, the moon above you and the streets below..." *^_^*

 |
strike a pose! |
Round and round we went, taking snapshots of everything our camera lenses could reach. We may look silly to the others, but in truth, we’re just a pair of kids enjoying the perks of being an adult. ;)
When the hype of the day starts to drift away, our energy stores depleted, we dragged our feet to the nearest terminal and took a cab to the train station and waited for the train that will bring us home. Tired limbs and heavy feet, we walked the rest of the way home, but not before we did a bit of a side trip and each grabbed a cup of heavenly ice cream. Here’s to ending the day on a sweet note! ;)

We’ve got a secret though, we actually did not head straight home after the ice creams, we actually did another bit of a detour (yeah, we’re big fans of detours), and one of the moon sisters bought a couple of dresses that she’d supposedly wear on her dates. :P
